Apple Airtag is an easy way to keep track of stuff. Attach it to your keys or slip it in your backpack to see your items in the Find My app. If you misplace something, play a sound or just say, “Hey Siri, find my wallet” to locate the item you’re looking for. Or if you’ve lost something farther away, the hundreds of millions of iPhones, iPad, and Mac devices around the world that make up the Find My network can help you find your lost item—without compromising your privacy. Put your AirTag in Lost Mode and set a message telling the finder how to reach you. And with great accessories like key rings and loops, you can easily attach AirTag to any item you want to keep track of.

Apple Airtag is splash, water, and dust resistant and was tested under controlled laboratory conditions with a rating of IP67 under IEC standard 60529. Splash, water, and dust resistance are not permanent conditions and resistance might decrease as a result of normal wear. Design:

• AirTag is small and light—about the size of a coat button
• It’s elegantly designed with a polished stainless-steel back that’s laser etched with an Apple logo
• AirTag has great splash, water, and dust resistance with an IP67* rating for a maximum depth of 1 m up to 30 minutes
• AirTag is designed for over a year of battery life with everyday use—and customers can replace the widely available CR2032 battery

Setup and experience:

• Setup is easy—bring AirTag close to your device and pair by tapping Connect, just like AirPods
• Say things like, “Hey Siri, find my wallet” or use the Find My app to play a sound on the built-in speaker on AirTag, so you can easily locate your things when they’re nearby
• If you’ve left something farther behind, put your AirTag in Lost Mode, and if it’s detected by a device in the Find My network, you’ll get a notification on your iPhone or iPad and be able to see its location
• You can enter a phone number so someone who finds your AirTag will know how to reach you

Find My:

• The Find My network is made up of hundreds of millions of Apple devices that help you find your AirTag and other Apple devices, even when they’re offline
• The whole process is anonymous and end-to-end encrypted to protect your privacy Precision Finding • If your AirTag is nearby, your iPhone can lead you to it with Precision Finding—which shows you the distance and direction to head in, thanks to the Ultra-Wideband technology built into AirTag and select iPhone models

Privacy:

• AirTag doesn’t physically store your location data or history on device, and the data is encrypted every step of the way
• No one, not even Apple, knows the location of your AirTag or the identity of any device in the Find My network that helps find it
• AirTag is designed to discourage unwanted tracking, so if an AirTag that isn’t yours is traveling with you, you’ll get an alert on your iPhone—and after a while, AirTag will play a sound so you’ll hear it even if you don’t have an Apple device
